EDUCATION

Acosta resides in New York City, where he works as an Assistant Director and Clinician for Jazz at Lincoln Center's Education Department, specifically for their Jazz Academy program.

When he isn't teaching @ Jazz at Lincoln Center's Jazz Academy or his private studio, he is devoted to supporting the Mexican and Latin American communities on both sides of the border. In 2025, he developed a borderlands jazz project to inspire and empower students during the tremendous immigration reform in the Southwest. Through jazz, students explore the history and identity of Mexican-American, Afro, and Afro-Latin cultures - connecting music, self-discovery, and community.
